We're thrilled to announce that Country Bear Musical Jamboree is opening soon at Walt Disney World! July 17th to be exact! We're so excited, we can hardly bear it!
Get ready for a foot-stompin' good time as the bears of Country Bear Musical Jamboree present a rootin'-tootin' show featuring Disney classics reimagined in a variety of styles, from bluegrass to rockabilly! The setlist includes country-twanged versions of fan favorites like "Try Everything" from Zootopia and "A Whole New World" from Aladdin, promising a lively and entertaining experience for all!
Let’s meet our Stars!
Ursus H. Bear
Following a refreshing hibernation, Ursus H. Bear was inspired to create a lasting venue celebrating America's rich musical heritage. In 1898, he founded Grizzly Hall, where he showcased talented bear performers in a lively show that quickly gained popularity as a fun and unpredictable experience, offering a unique blend of music, humor, and entertainment that became known as the Country Bear Musical Jamboree!
Henry
Years later, the legacy continued as Ursus's grandson Henry took the reins, becoming the current master of ceremonies. Henry played a significant role in developing the modern show and even co-wrote the opening number with the talented Five Bear Rugs, ensuring the Country Bear Musical Jamboree remains a lively and entertaining experience for new generations of fans!
Five Bear Rugs
The Five Bear Rugs, a talented group of ursine musicians, bring the stage to life with their authentic country sound. The group consists of Zeke, Zeb, Ted, Fred, and Tennessee, all playing in perfect harmony. And if you look closely, you'll spot a special guest - Zeb's son Oscar, proudly holding a Big Al plush toy, adding to the show's charm and family spirit!
Trixie
Meet Trixie, a seasoned star of the Country Bear Musical Jamboree! After exploring various talents, Trixie discovered her true calling as a singer. Now, she shines on stage alongside her harmonious trio, Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah - three adorable triplet bears who join Trixie in delightful musical performances that captivate audiences of all ages!
Bunny, Bubbles and Beulah
Previously known as The Sun Bonnets, this talented trio has traded in their bonnets for Stetson hats, marking a new chapter in their musical journey. Now, as part of Trixie's ensemble, they've taken their harmonies global, performing to sold-out crowds at prestigious venues like Royal Ursa Hall, and charming audiences everywhere with their country-tinged sound!
Teddi Barra
The dazzling Jewel of the Dakotas, has shone bright in the spotlight, giving Trixie a run for her money! Her journey to stardom was nothing short of phenomenal, discovered by talent scouts while singing in an ice cream parlor, Teddi's rise to fame was swift and sensational, captivating audiences with her radiant voice and charismatic stage presence!
Wendell
A former athlete who struggled to find his groove in sports, discovered his true calling when Henry encouraged him to try singing. He's been a happy member of the Country Bears crew ever since! Now, he's thrilled to finally have the chance to croon a romantic duet with Teddi Barra, much to the chagrin of his old pal Henry, who's perhaps a bit jealous of the spotlight shifting to Wendell's newfound talent!
Ernest the Dude
The epitome of sartorial splendor at Grizzly Hall, renowned for his impeccable style and extensive wardrobe collection. Wherever he goes, his entire wardrobe follows - a staggering 17 trunks overflowing with 30 coats, 40 pairs of slacks, 60 shirts, 20 hats, and (yes, you read that right) a pair and a half of underwear! Ernest's flair for fashion is truly unmatched among the Country Bears.
Terrence aka Shaker
Has a rich theatrical past, having once graced the stages as a renowned actor. However, a dramatic fall from the balcony during a performance of 'Romeo and Juliet' led to a career pivot. Trading in his acting tights for a guitar, Terrence developed a distinctive dance move that's become his trademark. Though he may not be conventionally handsome and has had a string of unsuccessful romantic endeavors, Terrence is undeterred and eager to embark on a new adventure in film. Love and stardom may be on the horizon for this charismatic bear!
Romeo McGrowl
The charismatic Romeo McGrowl, aka the Miami Serenader, is preparing to unleash his wild side and embark on a new musical journey! This suave bear is trading in his smooth serenades for the energetic vibes of rockabilly, marking an exciting new chapter in his singing career. Get ready to rock around the clock with Romeo McGrowl's fresh sound!
Gomer
A talented piano virtuoso, has undergone a transformation of his own! Once a classically trained cub, Gomer's musical journey took a exciting turn when he traded in his classical roots for the twang of country and western music. Interestingly, his favorite piece before making the switch was 'Night on Bear Mountain' - a nod to his classical heritage. Now, Gomer brings his unique style to the Country Bears' performances, adding a touch of sophistication to their foot-stomping tunes!
Big Al
The one and only Big Al - the Country Bears' beloved patriarch and music legend! With a lifelong passion for music, Big Al has been strumming the guitar since childhood and was once the swamp's resident troubadour, regaling audiences with his tales and tunes. After bidding farewell (for the 25th time!) on his latest tour, which took him to cities like Paris (Texas), Hollywood (Florida), and London (Ohio), Big Al returns to the Country Bears' stage, bringing his unique blend of country charm and showmanship to the delight of fans everywhere!
The Country Bears are a big, happy family, and we're thrilled to have shared their rehearsal antics with you! As we say at Grizzly Hall, 'We hope you'll be comin' back again' when the Country Bear Musical Jamboree kicks off on July 17 at Magic Kingdom! Mark your calendars and get ready for a foot-stompin', hand-clappin' good time with Henry, Trixie, Teddi, Wendell, Ernest, Terrence, Romeo, Gomer, Big Al, and the whole gang! See you there!
